Bar Reopening - Saturday 17th April

We are delighted to announce that the bar at The Applegarth will re-open at 1pm on Saturday 17th April for Outdoor Hospitality.

In order to comply with government rules and guidelines the committee at the cricket club have been working hard to get everything ready and open for the first match of the season on Saturday.

Please take a few minutes to read the below statement which lists all the rules and regulations which are in place as well as details on how to order from the bar as table service will be in operation.

The Applegarth is re-opening for business…..

The management committee of Earby Cricket Club are delighted to confirm that our bar will re-open to members and patrons ONLY , with restrictions, this coming weekend.

In line with the Government’s Roadmap out of lockdown, Stage 2 does not allow spectators at sporting events, but it does allow bars to open with a beer garden. With this in mind we will be opening from 1:00pm on Saturday 17th April with further opening times to be published in due course.

In order to support our re-opening, we need to make it clear that it is based on guidelines set out by the Government and these need to be adhered to at all times. As such, all members and patrons must take note of, and fully comply with, the following:

TRACK & TRACE

Everybody attending Earby Cricket Club is required to comply with the requirements for venue check-in, or we may face a £1,000 fine.

This is done by scanning the QR code displayed on all outdoor tables/benches, and at various other places around the entrance(s) to the ground. Alternatively, you can “check-in” using the NHS COVID-19 app.

If anyone is unable to access the NHS app or check in using the QR code, you should send the full name and contact details for any such individuals by WhatsApp to the club number that is noted on all hospitality tables/benches.

ALL members and patrons are required to check-in to enter hospitality venues, not just one per group.

All visitors MUST adhere to the Government guidelines on social distancing, groups of 6 or two households.

Anyone who does not comply with the above will be refused service and asked to leave.

HOSPITALITY RULES & REGULATIONS

Customers are asked to follow all signage and instructions on entry and exit.

Service will be outdoors only, please remember there is no shelter so come prepared in case the weather takes a turn for the worse.

All seating areas will have numbers, which you will need when ordering drinks.

The Government guidelines dictate that drinks can only be ordered and consumed whilst seated, or in a seated area.

Please DO NOT move any furniture, it has been positioned for a reason.

The Club House toilets will be available and accessible by the tea room door; however, masks or face coverings should be worn when entering the Club House and you must sanitize your hands on entry and exit from the building.

Plastic Glasses are being used to reduce the potential for spread of COVID-19.

We would kindly ask that members and patrons who visit The Applegarth refrain from bringing their own alcohol to the ground.

Bookings are not available, therefore it will be a first come first served basis. If there is no available seating around the ground then unfortunately you will need to try again later in the day.

HOSPITALITY - HOW TO ORDER

To complete an order, you MUST first have completed the venue check-in for Track and Trace.

There will be three options to place an order:

1. Online Ordering

o We have set up an online ordering menu to allow you to order from your phone https://order.storekit.com/earby-cricket-club/menu

o The order will be received by our bar staff who will then deliver your order to your table

o Payment may still need to be taken by card as we are waiting for payment processing to go live

2. WhatsApp

o Send a message via WhatsApp to the Club number, which will be displayed on all tables/benches

o The message needs to include your full name, your table number, followed by your order

o The message will be received by our bar staff who will then deliver your order to your table

3. Table Service

o We will have members of staff walking around taking orders

Payment for your order will be via cash or card and it will be taken upon delivery to your table. Should you need to leave your seated area to make a card payment, a face mask must be worn.

If you have any questions regarding the ordering process, please ask a member of staff, do not enter the Club House.

Please Note: There may be a slight delay in receiving your orders given the requirements to serve to your tables. Please understand this when placing orders, and be patient; our staff are working hard and are having to adhere to a different set of rules in order for us to open and keep you safe

FINALLY

A lot of time and effort has been spent making arrangements for everyone to return to The Applegarth, mostly by volunteers. We ask that you support the committee and respect the rules, guidelines and most importantly the staff for the next few weeks. It may take a little longer to get a pint, but please be patient as all good things come to those who wait.
